Yuka Notsuka is a Multi-style Dance Professional who grew up in Fukuoka, Japan.  She began ballet training at the age of four and fell in love with the music that brings forth the dance styles of Jazz and Tap. She always knew her calling was to be a professional stage performer with an emphasis on a variety of dance styles.  Straight out of high school she contracted with Universal Studios Japan (Osaka,) and Huis Ten Bosch (Nagasaki,) dancing between these esteemed theme parks from 2011-2015. 

 

Yuka moved to New York City as a 22 year old when she was awarded a scholarship to train at The Ailey School.  She was selected to perform in the Ailey Spirit Gala Concert at Lincoln Center in pieces choreographed by the School’s Co-Director Tracy Inman, and Artistic Director Robert Battle. She also trained and became a faculty member of Luigi’s Jazz Centre under its Artistic Director Francis J. Roach.  In 2017 and 2019 she was selected for the Walt Disney Production of Saks Fifth Avenue Holiday Lights Ceremony Shows.  She has been a member and solo performer of Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company since 2017.  She deeply enjoys inspiring others to dance - as an educator and choreographer for Award Winning children’s Dance Troupes, short-form performances, and masterclasses.  In 2021, Yuka served the Broadway Production of Bob Fosse’s Dancin’ as Choreographic Reconstruction Assistant.  â€‹

Currently she can be seen in Disney’s The Lion King North American Tour.
